Brakes ?

Hello Boys'n'Girls,

I'm a complete Land rover noob and I have an old girl here who deserves the best (despite my limited funds).
VIN = SALLDHMV1BA224055
I've been window shopping on Paddock Spares and have some ?'s
Is there a better price competitive more local retailer then Paddock ?
I'm about to order a new swivel hub seal kit and have to do the front brakes as well. But which discs and pads do I choose?
I have solid discs now that need replacing.
Regarding discs, whats the difference between lockheed and mintex ?
Is one better then the other ?
Is there a better choice then lockheed or mintex ?
What pads are best ? I've got an old "pr1ck relation" who says nothing but bendix works any good on his Landy but ?

This old girl struggled to pass the pink slip brake check.. I was warned that this would be the case.. but I would love it if it wasn't an issue next year.
I know I need to replace the callipers for vented but is vented a worthy upgrade ?

I was planning on doing new front disks, pads and braided lines all round when I do the swivel hubs. I have already adjusted the rear drums. do you think this will this be enough.

drums on the rear.....so assume you have a county?

re: pads, OEM (land rover pads)....others will squeal

while you can save dollars importing sometimes I find buying local gets you some advice when you are at the counter
