Once stayed at a place in Mexico City. The doors to the communal cubicles had been sets so close to the throne they could not be shut while seated.

Not sure what conspiracy was involved to explain it but the Mexicans did not seemed overly disturbed about it.

I'm a problem solver, I just sat sideways. :D
