I know there are some map lovers out there.
For the New South Welshmen here is a site:
http://topoweb.lpi.nsw.gov.au/LPIdisclaim.htm
Have fun.
Any one else with links?

If you need Victorian info, look at http://services.land.vic.gov.au/landchanne.../interactivemap (http://services.land.vic.gov.au/landchannel/content/interactivemap) ,(Although it's a bit slow recently).
You can plug in an address from anywhere in Victoria, and it'll zoom down to it, and even show you the long/lat in the status bar when you move your mouse over it.
Otherwise, www.street-directory.com.au.. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

Thanks very much One_iota and Macca, these sites are of great use to me as I make amature Railway Videos for a hobby and its great to be able to find roads that run along side rail lines, that don't show up on normal maps.
thanks again and I to would like to know if there is a similar sit in QLD and SA.

I went to the www.qld.gov.au site (as I did similarly for NSW) and did a search for maps.
http://www.webgis.nrm.qld.gov.au/webgis/we...xframe_qmin.htm (http://www.webgis.nrm.qld.gov.au/webgis/webqmin/frameset/ie/complexframe_qmin.htm)
This is more resource oriented but uses the same "engine"as the NSW one.
There may be more there.

Thanks again One_Iota, I live to far out of town to have a high speed connection but don't care.
So far I have spent about 5 hour just on the NSW site and found heaps of locations I was not aware of.
Thanks GREATLY again.
I'll start on the QLD site next.

By the way One_Iota, the NSW and VIC map sites are great, but no matter what I do I can not get a map at the QLD site, open to any ideas.
Regards again.

Drivesafe - Try http://www.webgis.nrm.qld.gov.au/webgis/we...webqmin/Run.htm (http://www.webgis.nrm.qld.gov.au/webgis/webqmin/Run.htm)
Works for me. If you have problems, make sure that you aren't running a pop-up blocker, as it pops the map into a new window.
Macca
EDIT: Hmm, now it's not working. Damn internet. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif I did find this link -> http://www.nla.gov.au/map/cartolinks.html . Lots of stuff there, but it looks like the Qld online map has been taken offline.

They are not exactly "on line" maps...
But I was looking for some stuff for my GPS and stumbled on the fact that there are a fair few maps available through the eMule file sharing program... 8O
Now that doesn't mean you're legally allowed to download them.... but thought some might like to know they are there
