Hi all,
Can some one please tell me when you have to pay luxury car tax in W.A ?
I'm looking at a used D4 for 63000 what sort of tax would I have to pay on that.

I thought it was only on new cars and that luxury tax had already been paid on your car. When it was bought new
The figure was somewhere around $54,000. But that was a few years ago.

Its only on NEW cars.
I looked at a $63000 Disco yesterday,nice,lots of bits but too many Ks,was at southerns.
This is better value,and its a HSE.

Not Southerns Andy it's in Morley only 30 000 km base model but that's all I need to start a new build.
So you don't pay luxury car tax on a used vehicle.

Poor old Black Betty is getting a bit long in the tooth,would love a D4.

On a used car you will pay rego transfer costs and stamp duty, not LCT.
