Hi Guys,
does anyone know if the rims off a 2000 model D2 will fit a 2006 D3 V8?

stud, offset etc.

thanks,

Nick.

Pretty sure that D2 never came with 19" rims.

If they are Landrover rims then more than likely came off a RRS.

If this is the case they will fit V8 D3.

A photo will help.

D3 rims have a +53mm offset and are rated at 940 kgs.

The new rims you are looking at should have the rating moulded into the backside of one of the spokes.

I expect you may need different lug nuts as well but that depends upon the rim you are getting.

The only certain rim for a D3 is a rim from a D3 or D4.

There are many variables it seems.

image below - maybe they are off a Range Rover.

I think they might be RRS.

Take a look through these two threads on Disco3:
DISCO3.CO.UK - View topic - Wheels that will fit a D3 (http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic13859.html)

DISCO3.CO.UK - View topic - Wheels that will not fit on a D3 (http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic13860.html)

Definitely off a RRS.

Will fit your D3.

Their load limit will be slightly lower than original D3/4 as these cars are heavier than RRS.

A lot of people interchange them & I am not aware of any problems.

I think your original wheel nuts will fit.

The load rating will be stamped on the back of the rim. If it isn't, don't use it. If it's less than 940kg, it's illegal to fit them, but they'll probably do the job as a backup rim, although I wouldn't recommend it.

Cheers,

Gordon
