I purchased a Lucas coolant sender unit, ETC8496, to replace my old one in my '97 D1 3.9 litre, pulled the old one out and the new one just spins.
Had a closer look and see that the old sensor has Sagem 73355 stamped on it, which I discover is a manifold temp sender for a P38, which has a larger thread.
My question is apart from the thread size are the 2 parts interchangeable, do they give the same ohm reading for similar temperatures?
If not then what are my options?
