Q3: ACE has to be better than the bloody huge swaybar fitted as standard. It inhibits articulation something wicked. Personally I'd rather have a vehicle that leant in corners like a double-decker bus on a skidpan, and had soft suspension and good articulation.
(Later) Reading up on ACE it seems that when it detects a side slope it locks the swaybars solid. That could be interesting - travelling across a sideslope and the uphill side wheel wants to crawl over a rock ........

Damn... I thought it was 5 but it's S. :o ...nice.
Nope, no hand book.
Was thinking that the ACE might of been counter productive when in decent rough stuff.

CD Stacker is under the driver's seat.
And the mirror - it's also used in other makes and shows external temperature.

The ace rams that stiffen up on cornering, disconect (so to speak) when in low range!
IMHO, ACE is awesome!

The ACE on my D2 was excellent, made the car great to drive around town. However when you get onto sand tracks where others have been driving on hiway tyre pressures it "enhances" the rocking, to such an extent that mine would throw esky's and house batteries around if I went at more than a crawl thru these sections. Wish I had thought to use low range a bit more.
Now I have to remember that the Deefer doesn't have it.

ACE is great, one of the best features of a D2.
My old girl corners like a sports car on the road, but still has plenty of travel when in low range.
One of the features I will miss.
