Must be a base model, doesn't even have leather or alloys.

I know that article is dated yesterday and it is supposedly going on display tomorrow but I think it is a bit outdated - I saw a program (I think Mega Factories) on Porsches a couple of days ago and this car was already on show at the Porsche museum and now has a frosted perspex body as the original had been lost when in the warehouse.

It was Porsche's first racecar.

I recall a story where Porsche? Max Fritz ? visited Britain to inspect the Rover motorbike factory, he was interested in their aircooled engine as fitted to the Rover 8.

Both the BMW and the Volkswagen aircooled boxer engines were produced after that visit.
