Sorry, but I am still pretty inexperienced and I am now desperate to get my truck going after an embarrassing 10kph crossing of the Bolte Bridge. If I buy this fuel pump, will it be all I need?

Yes, that's the one. Good idea to get OEM according to others on this forum. You will need to drop the fuel tank to fit it & make sure the connectors click in properly. Don't ask me how I know:angel:

It is possible to cut an access hole in the floor above the tank.I have done this in my TD5 110,made the initial hole 530mm from the rear[safari] door and 380 from the left side of the floor. Can check the measurements from below, just open it up until you can access the pump.Try searching this forum or other Land Rover sites for further information regarding cutting the hole.
Take a photo of the connections before you disconnect them.....so you know the order to reconnect...make sure they click home securely!

I've already ordered a Mulgo hatch and will do the hole thing. Is the pump easy enough for a salesman to fit or do I pay someone competent?

Use a thin grinder blade & don't cut too deep with it for the Mulgo hatch, As for the pump, Its a DIY job, probably a thread on it here somewhere

slide a piece of timber (8mm ply board just fits) over the desired location..
use a short shanked drill bit so that only 5mm of the bit protrudes past the chuck and drill the corners first..
then cut with a 1mm wheel on your grinder AFTER you confirm you have timber under the whole of the cut..
(all other safety precautions are assumed)
(and no points for guessing why I know to do this or how many nuffed fuel lines I've replaced for people)
