Gday All,
Has anyone tried to use wheel adaptors or wheel spaces to change the stud pattern of their van or trailer, instead of trying to get the correct parts etc to change to L/R pattern.
I am not even sure if they make them to suit L/R stud pattern, but just thought I would ask.
Cheers Ean

I use paddocks wheel spacers and there are others that I've seen will let you fit d3/4/rangie wheels to a D1or defender here and I'm sure there where a set elsewhere to allow jap wheels to fit LR.
Wheel Spacers - Hubcentric, Alloy, Land Rover defender wheel spacers, Land Rover discovery wheel spacers, Range Rover (http://www.simonbbc.com/aluminium-wheel-spacers)

I haven't used any of these so no idea of quality.

If you have Alko hubs on your trailer they do LR stud pattern or custom if you order it. Any trailer place should be able to sort you out ;) then you don't have to worry about spacer's and legality. I changed my kanga camper to defender hubs this way and it was pretty straightforward - although offset can be a problem with some trailers.

While wheel spacers are illegal on vehicles, I've never seen anything to suggest they are illegal on trailers, although I will stand corrected if someone wants to show me the legislation.
I have spacers on my trailer - got it registered no dramas and it was inspected end to end and underneath. I don't see why you couldn't make a set if commercial ones aren't available.
