200tdi value

Hi there. I have an ongoing project involving swapping more horsepower into my 1993 defender.
It has lowish kms (120k speedo has stopped recently) 200tdi that runs really nicely. Much as its a great motor I will be removing it soon. What is it worth? If I can recoup some money to spend elsewhere that would be great, it never smokes and starts very easily every time.

If any of you could advise me on its approximate value that would be awesome.

Try to get a buyer before you remove it if you can. Advertise it as running, come and test drive.
