They are a softer pad so have good stopping power, but being softer they do create more dust. We sell a lot of them.

I fitted a set of Mintex to our RRC which has solid discs, they screamed something terrible, changed them out for Bendix 4WD no further problems 18,000klms on them now very happy.just picked a set of pads for the front of the D1 (grey)as I am sick of the black dust on the mags, she says that it makes the car look grubby, time will tell.

That's interesting Uncle.
The Bitch has solid rotors on the rear, time will tell.

On Me Disco I always use TRW pads. never a problem. They are also fitted with the wear sensor wire which to me is a must.
I have no idea if Mintex front pads have a sensor wire ?

With The Bitch parts from the UK, it was a large order costing many $ and saving heaps, which has to be a consideration when you are a Professional Layabout.
The mintex thingy's were in the pack.

in the 11 years the p38 was the daily driver I put mintex on it twice - squealed like mad no matter what, front and back, had bendix from then on.

Mintex on the classic has been fine.

When the dollar was up, bought in two sets of Mintex pads, fitted the back ones, absolutely no problems. Looking at the box for the front ones,

Had them fitted for my last set of pads, squealed like a banshee, couldn't quieten them no matter what I did.
Swapped them out for a set of bendix - no noise.

On the 110 they squealed after the first 5km for almost a month, in a diminishing scale. Now they're quiet. If they sqeal and you can put up with it, they will probably quieten down after 3 weeks.
