Well Glenn Hadden has confirmed on Facebook that he is doing R&D on a chip and exhaust for the D4, and has stated that it has more power than his boosted 200.
Looking forward to the outcome.

Would love to see results on this, and hear the sound, I've got the 155kw version, a chip and exhaust should make a massive difference

Exhaust upgrade I have no issue with.
Plug n play chips..... More power, more smoke, more noise.
But at your own peril.
Been there, done that.
Not again.
No thanks.

Had a Chipit in my Prado.
Worked by increasing fuel rail pressure and boosting turbo.
But a very crude way in doing so.
Power increase was impressive. Very impressive.
Lots of smoke from exhaust - ok, more fuel burnt, so more soot.
However, I believe extra rail pressure and change parameters created the awful engine rattle noise - imagine shaking a milo tin full of ball bearings.
Sounded like she was about to blow.
Thought I had the prado death rattle. Google pradopoint death rattle.
Removed chip and all went back to normal. Had engine tested and injectors and everything normal. No harm done.
Chipit told me extra noise was normal with the chip. Nah, don't think so. Not that much noise. No engine makes that sort of noise and last very long IMO.
In the end was happy with the small power boost the exhaust upgrade got me over the next 3 years..
Then I test drove D4 SDV6. Loved the power and no need for chips. Bought one.

I guess that's sort of my point, the tdv6 is an identical engine to the sdv6 only detuned, to a remap should help regain that, for a lot less than the price diff between the models. And yes, if I could have stretched to the sdv6 I would have, but not all of us have that money to burn

I thought the TDV6 came with the 180kw 600nm as well or was it an option?

Tdv6 is 155/520....in a lower state of tune.
Sdv6 is 183/600....normal state of tune.
Then goes up from there with the RRS.

Do you know if he's doing all models, 2.7l and 3.0l??

Who cares what he's making them for... :p
Shoving an intercept box into these is just asking for trouble...

If your chasing an exhaust just go to a good fabrication shop...
The result will be a custom fitted product not some "developed for mass production" unit.

Mines already planned, we've done the leg work on the build - now it's just the wait until I finish smashing the one under there enough to justify the change!!!!

I'm already there, to the point it's affecting power, especially on humid days, the exhaust has a hissing sound instead of a diesel note:(

Find a good fab shop, the guys doing the performance shops work...

I think there is a bit more to it than that.

Yes, there is another thread on this - it is more than just the ECU map.

Update on Roos systems for D4.
Surely with 39% for power must be too much for the Tranny ? And everything else.
Wouldn't mind taking his D4 for a spin.

It'll only be a matter of time before someone local offers a remap
For the 155kw. Had the 2.7 2009 before this one and had the remap done
At Davis Performance, really happy brought it close to the 180 kW and noticed the power increase especially when over taking around 100kmph. No smoke or engine noise and better economy, highly recommend. In hindsight if they still sold the 2013 in the 2.7 I would have bought it, map zapped it and been able to fit the 17" wheels with km2's! Best of all worlds :)
