Hi all.
Does anyone know the difference between the track width of a No5 trailer and a Defender track width? Or even just the No5 track width and I can go from there.
Much appreciated.

not sure of the actual measurements but i understand the no.5 is same track width as series vehicles while defenders are a tad wider

Yep, that is correct. Same as series, but you can fit a wider axle to match the Defender. All you have to do then is extend the mudguards with flares etc to make it legal.

Ok, this is what I found when researching Series track width...
Track widths:
1) Series 1' " 50" F&R
2) Series 2/3 88" 51.5" F&R
3) Series 2/3 109" 52.5" F&R (1ton) slightly wider..
When it's mentioned the no5 is the same as a series LR, which one are we talking about?

I would have to check measure mine to get an exact measurement, but I am almost certain it would be 3. I didn't realize there was a track difference between the 88" and 109" in S2/3 - was it a different rim offset?

No.5 trailer track width 1320mm as per data summary issued Jan 93, so roughly 52"

Hi Bearman. The article did specifically say the measurements had nothing to do with the rims. I'm having trouble finding the information again but I'll post a link when I do.

Here's the source of the series track widths if anyones interested.
As I know no better I'll have to take their word on the measurements.
