Got some goodies today,
I had a great excuse, my wife has been taking my car to Brisbane for work the last few weeks, she complains endlessly about the sound in it and how it compares to her mazda, so I get to spend money :D
Philips Slimline Sub. I have installed it under the middle row seats in my 110, fits well plenty of space and does not get in the way of the seat folding over, really impressed with this, has a real punch for the size.

A Pair of Kenwood 6x9 5 way speakers, I was going to build boxes for these to fit in the top rear corners of my Defender, I will see if they are required still otherwise I may stick them up for sale.

5.25" Components for the front, I have installed these with spacers that I got of Ebay, not the greatest fit at the moment, they are on but the spacer is way too big, I thought I ordered the 25mm deep ones but they are something like 38mm, so they stick out a fair bit. I have ordered new spacers from Mud in the UK for the 5.25" speaker to fit in the front of the Puma, they say they are slimline and will fit so will see.

I had already changed the fronts out to 4" Vibe speakers but they were 3 way so it was really tinny up front with the tweeters also, this setup is great, and the difference the Sub makes is huge, my rear speakers were changed to 5" Vibe ones also, but they never survived my trip over the Simpson, one of them got caved in, and the other is all distorted now, I will take them out when I decide what I will do with the 6x9, I had great intentions of making boxes for them for the top corners but I am thinking the sound is pretty good at the moment, so will decide later, I may just make them fit the OEM holes in the rear, no big deal if they get covered up with stuff traveling as the sound from the front and Sub is good.
I have a Philips HU so now I just need to tidy up all the wiring then play with all the settings on the HU to achieve the desired quality that I am happy with.
My FM reception is terrible also, so I ordered an Entreq defender FM aerial from the UK, was not cheap, but from what I have read it works really well, and also it looks good and is designed to fit the large hole in the defender wing.

Hopefully it will be here this week so I can get it fitted, and report back..
Cheers
