The Lake District is a beautiful place to walk, especially when you can watch fast jets flying through the valleys below you - Tornados and Harriers when I was there.

The thing I saw that impressed me the most though was an RAF Sea King. We were walking back down from Scafell (the tallest hill in England) to Wasdale Head in a white out when we heard a helicopter approaching. The Sea King dropped out of the mist in the saddle we'd just walked through and flew off down the valley.
