Took truck to auto lecs and it turns out it was the indicator stalk. Again!

He solved the problem by installing an old school floor positioned high beam button just left of the clutch pedal.
So the indicator/high beam stalk has been bypassed.

Indicators work fine and you can still use stalk to flash high beams when needed.

He said that the switch if it got flooded would work fine when dried out. Cheaper to replace if needed at $20.
Its Very solid and simple and works great. It doesn't get in the way and activating it is very quick and easy. It takes me back to the 70's.

I Guess time will tell if it solves the problem but I'm quietly confident.
I'll post a photo soon.
Cheers

I have had a floor mouted dipper switch for years on my 110,but I also fitted a Traxide headlight relay and wiring upgrade. And mine has been underwater and still works fine years after;)

Big bump, but could not stop myself 'cause....

I've got a floor-mounted dipper, as standard, in my 1959 Austin-Healey Sprite!

Never have had a problem with it.
