Gday All,

My daughters TS 2000 model astra has the engine check light on and whilst im doing the head gasket and various other things I wanted to clear some codes, my OBD2 reader wont like with the car, and several ones I've looked at all tell me they wont work on that model.

Has anyone got one they know works on one of these cars, I don't want to buy the holden computer, just want a simple tool that will clear the codes.

I should try my D3 hawkeye?

Thanks and Cheers Ean

Opcom is the program I use. It can be found on the web. I have an interface with a cable to my laptop.
Where abouts are you? You are welcome to use it. If you are really stuck I can post it to you and you can return when you are done.

Thanks for the offer, if you can tell me or PM me where you got it and what I need I will get my own.

Many thanks

I've had it a few years, bought it off Ebay. Currently there is a listing for item 121275897635 for $22 which is what I have.
I am on the Gold Coast

Thanks.... What year is your astra, looked on opcom but all it has is some sort of alphabet code for the car but not sure what letter relates to what year.

My daughter has a Vectra which is the same family of drive trains as the Astra. As far as I know there are only two Astra variants. Wikipedia will help you identify the model number. The engine id should show on one if the body tags.

Does it ask for the 10th VIN digit? My scan tool requires it when I am scanning anything Holden as the 10th digit is the model year identifier.
