All,
is there a decent cargo barrier to suit a late model L322? Or am I stuck with the dog guard? If the latter (better than nothing), where is best place to source (over the net is fine)? British Parts of Utah look attractive at around $300 deliverd to the door (post code 4000); Traval in Uk is $350 to Brisbane.
cheers

I think Travall.com.au (http://www.travall.com.au/) would be the best choice, is it $350 including delivery costs? :o

Just jumped on Travall to order the $350 Safety plus pack (Cargo barrier, Dog divider & rubber mat) for the Disco4 and they quoted $585 for delivery to Brisbane (Delivery $235)... Ouch!

Land Rover make a full height barrier that is intended to be used with the regular cargo blind (part number VUB503890).
While this means that there is a break in the mesh to allow the cargo blind to fit, this is below the height of the rear seats.
Sorry for the image, it's the only one I could find at short notice.
This wouldn't be a cheap alternative though. It's about 500AUD before you add shipping AND as mentioned it is heavy!
Happy hunting,
Iain

In my previous RR-- soft dash LSE/TD5 I made an alloy barrier that consisted of a tube "loop"bolted at floor and roof level and fitted 3 horizontal flats across level with and above seat height.
It was unobtrusive in rear view; went with the car; pity it didn't fit the L322!
I no longer have ready access to (my then) aluminium workshop!!! Pity
I had also made alloy bull bar;side steps;full length roof rack; extra fuel and water tanks; etc; etc.
The "air bag compatible" bull bar was approved by vehicle inspector as it incorporated the original crush cans! (Lucky?)

Is that the same one as this? I just saw this mentioned on the FullFatRR forum. Supposedly, a factory accessory but I don't know the part no.

It's generally called a dog guard.

G'day Rar and Ron,
The one shown in the post below is actually a real cargo barrier (although it probably wouldn't be AS approved due to the break in the frame/mesh covering to accommodate the cargo blind. It is apparently EU approved though I suspect to a lesser standard). It is angled to match the line of the seat backs but also to sit far enough back from the seats to clear the curtain air bags, should they deploy. The little hatch is for those with the ski tube so that the skis can be slotted thru the barrier (another feature not likely to earn AS approval)
The dog guard only covers the section above the cargo blind/rear seat back (that is, only half height) and is anchored by straps at the base of the seats via the forward tie down points. Sorry I don't have a picture handy. I think the part number for this half height one was VUB002120 back in the day (according to my fractious filing system).
Ron, the image you show matches the part number I posted way back in 2014. No doubt if it has changed LR will have a substitute number for it.
Cheers guys,
Iain
