The advertising banner near the top of this page is currently showing a special offer for a further 10% off their advertised prices.

I am not associated with this mob in any way, I'm just chasing a set of cheap decent tyres.

After contacting them today with an enquiry, they gave a sub $300 price for Pirelli Scorpion ATR 255/60R18 tyres fitted and balanced by a tyre fitter that they've arranged in my area. Best I can do from local tyre sellers is around $350 for the same tyres.

Has anyone had any experiences with online tyre sellers?

I recently purchased Continental tyres from a western Sydney tyre outlet with online sales then had them F&B locally. The local outlets couldn't get near the price even though I effectively paid for 2 lots of freight. There seemed to be a special promotion by Continental through certain outlets as there was also a Melb outlet with reduced pricing on this size of this particular tyre - Prado/Pajera size 265/65R17 Cross Contact AT.

Unsure whether it's permitted to mention an individual company here? If not, let me know and I'll remove this post.

Here's the link to their current promotion:

CheersThe ads are by Google. They reflect your recent Google searches so if you've been looking for tyres in the last few days, you'll get a heap of banner ads like that.

I booked a flight last week & I'm still getting ads for Virgin, Tiger.....

I wouldn't get to excited about this mob. I checked a price last week for some tyres for the Oka. Hankook Dynapro MT in 315/75 R16. On eBay they were $285 on 'special' down from their 'normal' price of $300, on Tyresales site $619 :(:o, more than double the price of the Ebay seller.

Thanks for your replies :)

Just looked up the Hankooks mentioned above on tyresales. Seems like they are not in stock and the price listed states RRP? It does say 'click for a quote'? Weird...

For me, tyresales is the cheapest place I can find Pirelli ATR 255/60R18 @ $292 fitted and balanced with their current 10% sale.

Has anyone managed to do better?

Came across the invoice, seems that I actually beat your price by $2 a tyre. :)

Hey Mate,

Try Bosman Tyres.
1/142 Beatty Rd, Archerfield QLD 4108.

I got 19" Scorpions for almost half what I'd paid previously.

They don't use Pirelli locally which apparently is the problem with the high prices in Brisbane.

Cheers,

Kev.
