Hi Andy, actually not seen or heard from Brian since he stayed with us on the way to Tassie.

Typed while washing down chunks of Roo steak with a nice extra malted lager homebrew.

Hi Shorty.

Yes - apparently all's well up there (I'm in Perth at the moment). Will head up there tomorrow and have a look around. If it's anything like the last one, most of the damage will have been to the pubs.

SWMBO said the house shook (a lot) and a few things fell over, but nothing damaged that she could see. We've only just had a builder in doing some renovations - new walls in one room, new floor and stumps in another, and ceiling replaced in the main bedroom and walk-through robe. So was glad to hear that none of that's been cracked.

She was in next door when it happened feeding the dog (a Boxer) as the neighbours away. That could have been interesting - as that dog will bolt into the loungeroom and jump up on your lap and refuse to move when there's thunder around.

Spoke with both SWMBO and the young bloke about half hour after the quake - apparently no damage to either our house or his. He was pretty happy to be on a day off - he's an underground diesel fitter and has recently started working at an underground mine not far out of town.

Heard from a mate at work that a friend of his up there (Police officer) had damage to his house - and that the Police Station has also suffered some damage.

Actually - when I read the article that you posted the link to, I thought that LandyAndy might have been up in Kal visiting (Langtrees owner said the building shook). :p

Hope you enjoyed that roo steak and malted lager brew Shorty - had any good crocodile steaks lately ????

Good to hear all is well Brian.

No croc lately, but, I got a nice big lump of camel rump in the freezer waiting for an occasion to roast it up.
