I see they dont call it V8 Supercars anymore,now International V8 Supercars:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Anyhow go the fords, then the volvo seeing they have fords best pilot onboard, then the mercs and then the nissans and then go Holden.
Hopefully the field can catch 888 racing this season. They are bloody good at what they do,must be because they started out racing FORDS!!!!!
Enjoy the season those who enjoy it;););););););)

HeHeHe, Thats so the foreign jobbies can get into it :D Or maybe its like the American World Baseball , where the only participates are America! :o (Thats a little scary) lol. But yeah , hopefully Ford will do a bit better this year in the rounds, unless they get the rein in order to help holden sales! :D
Cheers Scott

Not quite true anymore, Canada, Japan, Australia, Cuba, Mexico are now part of the World championships;)
The World Series also has some Canadian clubs involved now also.
I'll be interested to see how Volvo go in this, also interesting to see if Merc and Nissan will inprove on last year.

25 cars on the grid,..4 Nissans, 2 Mercedes, 2 Volvos, 17 Fords & Holdens, mainly Holdens.
Volvo on the fron row for race 2 is a BRILLIANT effort for young Scotty & the Gary Rogers team.
Can't wait for the TV start this arvo,...gonna be brilliant.
Cheers, Pickles.

Yep,,, not to shabby at all. :D. Those last couple of laps were awesome to watch.
Seeing as our Fords are going, I might have to consider the Volvo as the new Ford,,, unless of course they do bring over the Mustang.
Which then begs the question,, I wonder if Ambrose would consider coming back over with one ;)

That was a pretty awesome drive from a kid just out of nappies. When he was interviewed just after he got out of the car he was overwhelmed by the crowd size.
I would say we have a future V8 champion in the making.

7th in the first race, 2nd in race two, 4th overall in the points, pretty impressive for a rookie and first outing for the Volvo, remember when the Volvo won the touring car championship;)

A Nissan beat all the Fords home in Sunday's race.
Is that something worth boasting about or is that just too easy? :p

What about the BOC roll over. What a sight. As for a Nisson beating a Ford, most of the Fords were involved in smashes.

Shame Scottys vulva had a flame out,he was looking at backing up yesterdays result with 20 laps to go.
Them messerschmitts must still need alot of sorting. To put a strong driver in like Will Davison and not fire a shot tells me they are a fair way off having a competetive vehicle. Will managed to smash his up pretty well today!!!
How good was Jamies lollypop boy, they are not allowed to touch the vehicles, let alone fix them.Rubbing the 100mph tape on a repair, well worth the drive thru penalty.

A great week-end of racing I thought. V8 Supercars would be happy, brilliant weather & a great crowd saw plenty of action.
Tremendous effort by GRM to get the Volvo up there in the first round, and yes, as a prior poster has said, it looks like the Mercs have a way to go, but the Nissans do look to have improved.
Yes, I've noted the Foxtel TV Deal next year,...I don't like it. Don't think car sponsors will either,...lots don't have Foxtel, which will result in decreased exposure for sponsors.

I don't have it and over the last few years have started to lose interest in AFL, due to a lot of games I would have liked to watch being on Fox.
If I can't watch all of the V8's I am sure the same will happen.

I didn't think so, pretty bloody ordinary I thought, I was surprised at how badly some of the good drivers went, maybe it's just me.
Highlight was definitely the Volvo and McLaughlin, which was why I watched it, shame about race 3 for the Volvo.
