Well, I may have bitten off more than I should have, but I couldn't let an opportunity for a 1964 Series IIa simply go to the scrap yard.
Without even looking at it, I've taken ownership of an old girl that was parked in the paddock some 30years ago and was never driven again. The owner, a nice bloke from the bush, parked her up when the radiator needed some work.
Well, cut a long story short, she's mine (or more to the point, IF I do restore her, she'll be my Boy's first car in about 6 years) and I'm wondering what you all make of the chassis number - particularly the check digit.

As far as I can make out, she's a Series IIa, with a basic body type, of 109in wheel base built between '61 - '71 with a petrol engine. A right hand drive, completely knock down model that I'll assume was assembled somewhere over east. Does anyone know if any of these where assembled here in WA/Perth at all?

Anyway, here's a pic of the chassis number - if you could tell me what you think the check digit is, that would be great. And there's one photo of the girl in front of the shed yesterday after we brought her home from Wokalup.

Regards

25304581B could easily be the number, it should have an engine number in the realm of 2515450D to 2515600D and would have been assembled in late 1963.

Probably is "b" - with the wiper mounted on the windscreen it has to be either a,b or c - and of those it looks most like a b.

Just from the serial number I can confirm it is a B, vehicles on either side were all B suffix.
