Cant look at John Jarrat in the same light anymore, gone is the Ned Kelly image now replaced by Mick Taylor self confessed "pig shooter and outback legend ".

Vote 1 Mick Taylor for immigration minister :o.

Have you read the 2 prequel books?
They fill in the story as to how Mick is the way he is.

Not sure he'd get my vote but please don't tell him that:eek:

I didn't know there was a prequel! must track them down......

I'm keen to see WC2, but the MRS thinks WC was too scary, she won't even watch it at home... so looks like I have to wait till it comes out on DVD or something. :(

These are the two books to look for...
Origin: Wolf Creek Book 1 | Penguin Books Australia (http://www.penguin.com.au/products/9780143566717/origin-wolf-creek-book-1)
Desolation Game: Wolf Creek Book 2 | Penguin Books Australia (http://www.penguin.com.au/products/9780143566724/desolation-game-wolf-creek-book-2)

I heard it was top of the box office on the release week.
I went to see it with the wife and miss 18.
While we enjoyed it I can see it's not for every one.
This coming from a fellow who played Wolf Creek(1) while camping in the South Australian out back to a group of AULRO finest:D
If your into it sneak off and go see it at the movies, call it trip preperation:wasntme:
The DVD could be while as it's still not released world wide, it does have 2 minutes extra though.

Mick has a fairly basic philosophy, as long as your Australian born and don't cross him you'll be OK:eek:

Interesting that the ABC's 'At The Movies' duo Margaret and David 'chose' not to review this movie.

Deano :)

Really, I wonder why. They normally have an opinion or view on everything

I'm the other way around. If I can only keep Mrs from hearing about it, then we'll still visit it next month...

I showed the original at a backpackers hostel in sydney to a load of people about to drive through the outback. They didnt see the funny side of it when one of the guys started reading the facts off wikipedia.

Because it's not black and white with french subtitles :D

They're official line is that it's 'nasty' and some crap about glorifying torture porn.
Well no ****, it's not a happy, good feel time, family movie!
You want torture porn go watch hostel or something.
Personally I think Wolf Creek has a much more psychological element to it, which makes for fantastic horror.
Watched the original at Lake Mungo :D
