Been trying to find a listing for Bilsteins for 2008 130, would appreciate if anyone can let me know the appropriate part numbers for front and rear, looking at Shock Warehouse in the US as suggested in my other thread, and they don't list them as they aren't allowed to play with Defenders over there. Their prices look to be about half local price.

Standard height or lifted?

When I got mine, I had to go Disco listing from the US as they dont have Defenders. For a 110 they were the same, even though dealers in Australia tried to say they were different. For the 130 I am not sure, being a heavier load carrying capacity they may need a different compression rate. Someone on here will know for sure. Possibly have a look and see whether the standard shocks on the 130 are the same as the 110. There may be some previous posts I placed the numbers in. If I can find or recall I will post. I did some cross referencing at the time.
As said are you going standard height or lift?
Also have a look at the Bilstein website, they have a full catalogue and that is how I cross referenced.
Cheers

Hi,
Did a bit of a trawl and this is what Spudboy ordered for his 130.
BE5-6529's for the rear, and BE5-6540's for the front.
May be a bit dearer than the 110 but compare their prices here and I think you will find much cheaper out of the US.
Cheers

I plan to lift it a little. Tried to find the numbers online at work last night, the Bilstein online catalogue is a 40MB download and kept timing out! Good idea to compare LR part numbers for 110 and 130, don't know why I hadn't thought of that.

What about the valving? Are these pre-set or do you get options?

Does the 130 use the same diameter and length upper mount as a 110?

Dougal, 130 mounts are all the same, even the same as RRC and D1. The only issue I have come across with using say a B46 0253 rear Bilstein (std for RRC, D1 and Defender) in a 130 is that they top out with an unladen 130 as the dual springs are almost at max shock length:o.
Last one I did I ended up fabricating 30mm lower upper mounts, not enough to dislocate the springs but perfect to stop the banging when dropping off a kerb or going over speed humps.

Frustrating, none of these part numbers come up in a search of the Shock Warehouse website, looks like I might have to buy locally and pay nearly double the U.S. price. In which case I might go the Koni Raids, them being adjustable and all.
Quadrant Suspension is just near work, might go and have a chat with them next week. And book some more overtime.:(

I reckon Quadrant will give you the right info for Bilstein, they've been their agents for AGES.

Try e shocks as well or drop either of them an email.
I am sure Spudboy got his out of the US, send him a pm. I laughed at Quadrant when they wanted to charge me nearly $1k for the shocks and $100 freight. download the catalogue and cross reference the numbers. Just had a look at e shock and the numbers have changes so you will need to cross reference or contact them with the old numbers I listed and get the new numbers.
BE-6529 is now 24-065290
BE-6540 is now 24-065405
For the 110 I used from memory and they are fine, now been on for 6 years.
