I think a lot of the guys with Isuzu motors on here opt for a larger custom made snorkel system. I think the standard tdi snorkels restrict flow somewhat.

There is a unit on that website which is designed to bolt straight on top of the right hand wing air box intake it's the same unit the army rfsv's are using. I've attached a direct link to the page. :D

The Mantec snorkel is a similar shape but not the same as that on the RFSV, which appears to be a larger diameter and a bit sturdier, the RFSV snorkel is used with the windscreen down so would have to take the odd branch strike, the Mantec job secures to the windscreen frame.
I reckon the Safari 300TDI snorkel is larger dia than the Mantec one and hence would be better suited, but may still not be as good as a custom made snorkel.

can someone help me and scan a template of the airbox connection with the bolt holes I'm out at sea and want to make my own snorkel also if you could tell me the diameter of the pipe and angle in relation to the plate so that i get it pointing towards the right spot on the side of the window cheers.

The airbox is a drum behind the rocker cover, with a flexible hose under the driver's side guard, so there is no bolting anything to the air box.
The adapter you'll probably want to make is the section that either goes through the side guard ala Safari or through the blanked heater vent panel if Mantec/RFSV style.
Here's a thread with some pics.

Sorry I don't have a drawing or measurements to help you.

Hi Mark sorry maybe I wasnt clear enough there is a small box which is in connection with the gaurd which the intake hose mates to, the plate in the diagram you sent me i believe bolts to the top of that box this is the plate i want dimensions for you see on the picture I've attached there are several screws holding the snorkel plate to the gaurd/box?? i want to remove that box make a plate with a stub pipe on both sides one of which will connect to the hose going to the airbox on the back of the engine and the other to my pipe which runs up the window.
