Would some nice person post a photo of the passenger side rubber mat?
My mat seems too long because of the a/c unit, and it curls around on itself. I can't remember what my old used to be like but it didn't look like this one.

Yes that's it has it been trimmed to fit under the a/c unit

Yes, by the looks of it. The non-textured band that borders the rest of the mat is missing across the top. It's a very professional looking cut, so probably done at the factory for the Aussie A/C.

Mine is exactly the same and gets chipped off at the edge every time I close the door - ahh, the delights of a car with character :)

My mats are buggered and I'm still looking for some cheap replacements that will fit.

Info for VladTepes especially: Looks like you need what I got maybe 6 years ago for Defender floormats. A rubber "horsemat" from Clark Rubber. About 6 feet by four and 8mm thick. Dimples on top side and some wide shallow sort of grooves on bottom - probably making them less prone to slip if water underneath. Then cost about $80. Presumably designed for placement where horses may slip. Especially in horsefloats.
After cutting out two mats for my Defender, still have an approx. 4 foot square piece which has had other uses. Not likely to keep if for replacement mats as obviously this stuff should outlast several standard ones. I used the latter for patterns but made mats slightly oversize for tight fit so less dirt works its way round edges and underneath.
