I was nightshift last night, and opened up AULRO this morning and its gone!
Was there a "popcorn" run on a thread that I missed, or just to many personal shots after a bit to much lubrication?

Didn't notice anything. Haven't seen any complaints.
Probably just a computer glitch.
I'll ask.

I only asked to remove my participation from it. so I am not aware if there is a problem.

It's all about Chucky.
With Chucky gone, what's the point of having it?

There will need to be a parliamentary enquiry to get to the bottom of what has really happened

I expect a committee will be formed soon to produce a white paper.

And what will do the admin team with the paper ?

No, that is your assumption, AULRO is great because the work that admin/moderators are doing while we have fun participating on it. ;)

I have nothing WHATEVER to do with the Cantina - not in it, don't look at it.
Ultimately though this is a place where LR ownersw can get together and talk about Land Rovers and other pursuits.
What it is NOT is a place to have a go at one another, have inflammatory / racist / sexist / personal digs at one another..... Nor is there any need for AULRO to provide a venue for such behaviour.
Just sayin'.

But there is obviously a want by some of us to discuss issues that could potentially be inflammatory, racist and sexist along with political that may effect our ability to own or modify a LR. Personal attacks are not on but reporting / putting up links to issues should be ok there.
Yes I had access previously but maybe got locked out accidentally last night or it has been shut as none of my posts show up in search?

Can't see it either, unless I got kicked out as well. Can't see why I would have been, but I'm not considering it a great loss.

Shot down by people who would rather attack than discuss, is my interpretation.

Sounds like I wasn't missing out on much. But the lack of political "discussion" in the main forum has been welcome.

Sad we have lost it.
There were some great threads on there. It was a good place for the sort of robust debate I'm used to round the late night campfire on the Wombat camps.
Oh well. Sad. I think I said that.

The few spoil it for the many.
Sad, yes. But apparently it doesn't work.

I'd like to know what spoiled it. The only objectionable thing I saw was a little bit of mild name calling.
And I do mean mild. Nothing I would have got my knickers in a knot over.
A lot of it was quite funny. Most of it was interesting and it one particular thread, very educational.

Not my fault, my comment was not inflammatory, was just quoting python in response to a post from Disco Muppet. It's all his fault.

Oh, now we see the violence inherent in the system. Help! Help! I'm being repressed!
Remind me, what did I say? I can't remember :p

Don't really know, but I reckon a couple of regular's didn't like being taken to task and given strong opposing opinions. If I had to guess I would say they just played the ultimate politics, cried bloody murder to the ref. and had the whole thing quashed. Sort of a, last ditch, coup de grâce.
If that was actually the case, you would think they must have been right on the ropes to throw in the towel on the whole competition. Damn shame, if they couldn't handle the heat they should've just gotten out of the kitchen.
All moot now though. Seeing as we really have no idea other than to guess... My best guess... too much antidisestablishmentarianism*.
Whichever way it went, I will also miss it. AGAIN.
Thanks to Inc for having another go at it anyway. And Dullbird for putting up with "the passion". It was fun while it lasted... agree with Mick_Marsh... just like those late night Wombat campfire chats!
* I've been waiting more than 30 years to use that word with anywhere near its true meaning!!! Not actually sure I nailed it, but that will do

how did i know you would post something along these lines
still attempting to play the people involved instead of presenting some of that strong opposing opinion as you call it.
oh well no surprises here
