They add says they are going to scrap if not sold. A bit sad really. I would like to get them but have too much stuff already.

Land Rover Series 1 Smhea 1957 in Chester Hill, NSW | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Land-Rover-Series-1-SMHEA-1957-/271421877825?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item3f32012e41#ht_253wt_1228)

I doubt very much that they would end up as scrap, @ around $70.00 a ton for mixed scrap, cheers Dennis

although the auction on ebay has ended,
I am astounded that no one bought them,

there had to be a grands worth of bits let alone the fact that they were near enough to complete cars.

I never cease to be amazed by people wanting something cheaper than as advertised.
we are not in bali where the trader has a 2 cent trinket that he is selling for ten dollars and you win by beating him down to 2 dollars...

Well for a start, not one of the posters here made a bid for them, I mentioned that scrap price is approx. $70.00 @ ton mixed i.e. cars etc, I personally have 11 Land Rovers and do not need any more, obviously no-one wanted them, that's the way it goes sometimes, cheers Dennis
ps 8 of my Land Rovers are on club plates, my 110 on full rego, a Series 1 under construction, and a S2A 109 GS wreck, and I can assure you I spend more time fiddling with them keeping them in good going order, and also it represents the past 14 1/2 years of my life,,.

If this person is so desperate to sell them why don't they start the auction at $0.99?

As mentioned above they certainly won't get $1000 for them as scrap.

I'm interested in both
Seems one wouldn't take much to be a runner
I like the mechanical challenge but am definitely no good at body work
Anyone recommend transport companies for rollers from Sydney to melb
I have a yard and fork to offload.
Am I missing something with these two??
Anyone interested in picking them up for $$
