Here's some pics showing the route into the cabin using a grommet behind the second battery bay. The UHF aerial and power cables follow the same route into the cabin as the Traxide kit.

I want down the same route but have the antenna / bracket on the drivers side. Poking an awl or long thin nail through the centre of the grommet shows where it comes out through the insulation above the pedals. This gives a starting point to enlarge the hole in the insulation for the cable. Just watch the radius of the cable as it exits the antenna base. From the pic it could use a little more slack.

Slightly off topic here but is that where Traxide recommend putting the second battery? It looks like the battery recommended by them. I've seen a second battery in the space just in front of the primary battery.


BTW I also used that grommet for my antenna and there is also a large electrical cable going through it from the main battery to an Anderson plug at the rear. ( I plan to make that part of a traxide dual battery set up).

Yes this is within the space for one of the options to locate an additional battery. Some use the space behind the LH headlight, in front of the main battery.
No different grommet. The Traxide kit goes through a grommet hole closer to the side of the vehicle.
