On the 12th of April 4wd action is holding a farewell for Roothy and Landcruiser Park , its only $50 for the evenings entertainment, overnight camping and access to the park for a day and a half, and some of the money goes towards the unlock Australia campaign that Cheeky D1 has been talking about , It would be good if we get other club members to come along as this should be a great weekend. Lesley and myself will be going for Saturday and Sunday if any one else is interested in coming along please let me know.

Sorry guys..just saw this thread. I was up there....we arrived Friday early afternoon. We camped at the flat camping area just to the right of the cattle stockyards just after the arena.

The place was packed! Friday night was like camping next to the highway with cars rolling in continually until after midnight. Pity about the rain that rolled in on Saturday afternoon in the middle of Roothy's tribute. The 4wd action boys were out filming a DVD on Friday and Saturday.

I saw two other 130's roll in on Saturday morning but never saw them again. I also a couple of Disco's, and then caught up with Paul in his ex-army TD5 with matching trailer during the show and shine. There was even a Series 3 up there!

I spent a lot of time with Jamie Hazleden and noticed that British Off Road are doing a lot of trick stuff now. They have a new rear drive flange that has twice the number of bolts.

Cheers
Andrew

thats a shame , we were there from saturday morning till sunday morning , would of been good to catch up, we met up with mathew [ dunc98 ] and had a bit of a drive , recovered a nissan patrol on saturday afternoon , which is always a fun thing in a landy . Mathew seemed like a nice bloke and i have encouraged him to join gclro,
we had a really good weekend and yes there was a big turn out . hope to catch you up on the next trip maybe.
