When am I on LPG?

I have just started using my recently acquired P38a with sequential LPG.
I have zero info on the running of the Lpg so presumed it starts on Petrol then pretty soon automatically moves to LPG..
What I am finding is when I start the car in the morning the LPG level gauge shows a red light ( LOW ON GAS?), and a blue light which flashes constantly.
After a few k`s driving and the engine temp rises, presumably thermostat has opened, the blue light goes solid and the correct lpg level is restored with the series of green leds.
My thoughts are the car does not move to LPG until the engine temp is enough to open the thermostat, is this the case?
The car is running sweet so no dramas, I would just like to know why all the disco lights show in the mornings or when the car is cold

It depends on the system but yes most systems start on petrol then switch over when warm.

Every single LPG injection kit has a tuning connector so that a person with the correct cable and software on a laptop can change the parameters, within limits. Most systems I have come across change over somewhere upwards from 30C coolant temperature, I usually set them at 40C. This is so they don't flood the engine or run funny when the cooling system is cold. LPG doesn't need the cold enrichment that petrol uses so better follows the petrol settings for a warm engine. Ebay has listings for various brands of software and tuning cables to suit. The engine thermostat has nothing to with the set changeover temperature but a faulty thermostat can delay engine warmup considerably as it may never reach changeover temp on say a frosty night or a long downhill run.

Thanks for that, From your explanation I would think it must be set to a highish level, My thoughts were that the coolant would not flow through the LPG system until the engine thermostat was opened when the engine warmed. My thermostat has been tested ok due to another issue so I can only presume all is well as the car is running extremely well. There is no running problem, I just wanted to understand why the lights on the lpg level pad flashed for about 6 mins after cold start up.

The coolant flow through the LPG converter is teed into the heater circuit and works perfectly well with the thermostat closed.
