Well the day has finally come as my Luxor Discovery was delivered this afternoon. The wait was well and truly worth it, seeing it in the flesh is good enough but when I finally got to drive the incredible beast I was very impressed. I enjoy learning more each day after reading these threads and I can't wait to start adding goodies. The journey begins!!!
Cheers

Just added a triple battery set up, P3 brake controller, relay for trailer assist and upgraded the rear 12v wires for sockets. Fiddly job but turned out well in the end.

Trailer brake installed, decided P3 over EBRH for the benefit of being proportional. Switch to turn on trailer assist module and merit plug. Cheers Stotty

Doesn't that brake controller hit your leg mounted there ?
I had the cable for my remote mic / controller for the UHF coming up in that general area and found it bloody annoying. Have since re-located it.
Like the battery set-up. Did you do that yourself ?

Very nice, although my OCD says your merit plug cap top isn't straight...

BMKal,
The trailer brake unit is a good three inches away from hitting, I found this the most suitable spot for my personal preference. Tested and tested the spot again before the final screws went in!!! The install was done by Auto Sparks Osborne Park, Tim. Four days in all to get to the final setup. Sorry about the legs but my wife didn't have time to shave!

I was kinda joking about having OCD, I don't actually. But it drives me nuts when things aren't aligned lol

Stotty,
I positioned the brake controller in the top glove box! I definitely didn't want it near my knee as I am 6' 4''. Works well and out of sight, easy to reach and use if necessary.

It's only out of the way of you knee until someone does something stupid in front of you... :)
Then it will be part of your knee :(
I always keep the space near my legs clear for this reason...
To each their own... :D

What about the knee airbag?

What about the knee airbag?
Meken,
I check the manual before I started drilling and I couldn't find any airbags in that area. I decide that this spot was the best for my reflexes and as I tow a 2500kg + caravan I needed the proportional controller. Redarc EBRH did not suit my needs but I must admit it is a better system to install due to its size.

@ Stotty what are the buttons on the steering column?

@ Stotty what are the buttons on the steering column?
Hatchy, that is my manual link button from inside the vehicle for the triple batteries, if it is ever required, no need for jumper leads. Above it is the Redarc led showing when charging system is working correctly.
Cheers Stotty
