I know its another older one and most of you have already seen it but for those you have not its not bad at all. the regular suspects are there pootrol and land bruiser but the highlights i think are the land rovers some very tough deefers one stand out is a deefer called the hulk another very cool truck is a disco V8 ute. one thing that surprised me is the lack of any V8 land bruisers all were running the 6s. the general racing is cool but the mud runs are brutal. :p

Hi disco man here is a pic of the HULK that i own . We came 7th after a mix up in points counting ( was 8th) The vehicle runs a xfow 4.1 ford six turbo /haltec injection and intercooled . When we were passed on the flats doing our 110 km by a 6lt holden patrol we opted to fit a ls2 6lt when we got home . We did buy the brand new engine but that was years ago . Since then the vehicle is in a shed up on blocks waiting for the right time to bring it out again . Hope this helps regards

Bloody hell mate that is one awesome weapon of a truck. Good work to finish let alone so high up on the rankings very well done to you and your copilot. When i heard the HULK on the dvd i was trying to work out what the hell you had hiding under the bonnet. That was more of truck destroying exercise than a race i guess the dvd really dosent do justice to what it was really like. Must admit i was quiet surprised at how well the south american boys went it must be very different to what they are used to. I love mud as much as the next bloke but some of those crossings looked utterly insane. I didnt even think that maybe someone one the forum would be the owner of that beast i was watching very cool to talk to you about it. I would of thought a turbo crossflow would be able to compete with the 6lt. I guess there is no point throwing any more money at the 4.1 when there is far more potential in the 6lt. What's the next event for the HULK? :p

Thank You champ. We used it mainly for winch challenges arround rocky in QLD. The six was very competitive and we only ran 11psi on a stock bottom end but they will handle lots more . Got fresh spare now so who cares . The head has had a bit done to it . We run a turbo 700 auto manualized and reverse shift pattern . Currently we are traveling around aust so the Hulk needs to wait . But i miss the thrill of it all but one day.
