Hi,

I don't know how many of you watch Janet King on the ABC but at the end of tonights show, a 4wd was blown up, and on closer inspection it was a sliver P38

I thought it amusing that just before she pressed the remote and it blew up, she said "lets take the beast" :p

That's just Blasemy blowing up a P38. Though there were moments I wish I had blown up mine, but in the end i realised that it is a unique vehicle, so I perished that thought, LOL.

I just fast forwarded the t-box to the Big Bang. My guess is that one was on coils, even after getting blown up and burned the suspension didn't drop.

Sad to see it destroyed like that though, not even on a dirt track in the bush, just sitting outside a luxury house being a stereotypical Toorak Tractor.

Hi

The alloy bits certainly burnt nicely :o

Did anyone else notice that the headlights stayed on as well?

Bet the pyro team had a good time rigging that one :D

A P38 remote that worked? Now that's artistic license.:D

And it beeped (beep beep - roadrunner style) when using the remote?

pyro team? well that's a relief! I went out and spoke nicely to mine hoping that such a flamboyant (flame-buoyant?) display of self-destruction wasn't contagious!

HI

I had some mates years ago who did pyro for movies and TV, they probably chose the rangie because the aluminium goes off:twisted:

They may well have had the thing on blocks or stands as well, the OH&S stuff is pretty ferocious

Still a waste of a P38

And yeah the sound effects dept got the remote sound totally wrong.
