I have a new D4 as a loan car while my D3 is in for its 5th surgery on the gearbox (another long story).
The D4 is an SDV6 SE model and does not have the factory navigation.
When I approach a school zone or a red light camera a male voice warns me of it "School zone ahead" or "Red light camera ahead".
Where is this voice coming from?

Any aftermarket SatNav? Even though I have the factory SatNav I also have a small old TomTom down in the bottom corner of the windscreen which I continuosly update the speed and red light POI's and warns with a voice "Red light safety camera ahead", "Speed safety camera ahead". Check the console or glove box for one left on.

Found it.
I read another post in these forums about someone with a 2013 D4 SE and the voice button on the steering wheel not working, so I thought I would try it on the loaner I have.
I pressed the button and, lo and behold, up popped and iGo navigation system on the factory screen.
Obviously the dealer has integrated an aftermarket navi system in the car and hooked it to the voice button on the steering wheel.

That's interesting. I wonder how much it cost him to do that and how much map upgrades are on the system.
I have the upgraded sound with large screen but not the nav pack. Would not mind integrated navigation even though the Tom Tom app on the iPhone is ok.

I've used the nav system a few times over the weekend - and it is rubbish. Turns are announced no more than 10m from the intersection, so if you are not always checking the screen, you will miss them.
Not a good advertisement for iGo.
