Bought a Satking Sattelite dish setup this morning to drive the TV in our new camper, now the only thing to do is read the manual and try to understand something of which I know nothing................

Anyone had experience with these?

Pointing the dish in the right spot, having the arm at the right angle and the LNB twisted at the correct degree is critical

All this info is searchable or supplied with the gear

Do you have a signal meter?

Have you activated your VAST smart card? For a camper you care eligible for travellers access to VAST including commercial channels.

A useful application is Satellite Finder / Dish Alignment Calculator with Google Maps | DishPointer.com (http://www.dishpointer.com) ....especially if you are setting up at a new loaction regularly. You can check for obstructions such as trees in the path of the satellite signal.

True!
I suffered the misapprehension that it was a simple "point the thing at the sky" arrangement,,, until I watched a fellow caravanner take over two hours and the combined efforts of half a dozen caravans to get it right.
By the time we install one I will have that many apps to help--;):p:D
(turned out to be a broken lead)

Richard, you'll get better reception if you lock onto a satellite. :p
