Hi all.
Need to know how to remove the weld spots that attach the rear window curved section on the back of the 09 110 ute.
I will be re-attaching so I need to know if I need a panel beater to attach or I can purchase a tool to do the job.
Reason for all of this is I'm actually getting around to extending the cab so I can finally fit inside comfortably.
Any other help with the other sections would be appreciated and yes I will post photos of my disasters.:o
Cheers

I'll be interested to see your progress on this.
As you would be aware, the back panel, including the curved sections, is usually left intact as one piece. I must admit being a bit puzzled in that you say you need to remove the curved sections but you will be re-attaching them. Why then is there a need to remove them ?... Anyhow I'll read your future posts with interest.

When re-attaching these sections, they would not necessarily need to spot-welded, but you will have holes to fill. Bus fabricators use one of the Sikaflex adhesives to glue panels together and there are always pop rivets - (somewhat in sympathy with the original design).

You've probably seen this, a bit expen$ive to buy from Foleys but the picture may give you some ideas (also for other interested people who may not be aware of it).

Interesting way of doing it - just moving the window panel itself rather than extending the lower section with it.
A LOT less work than a full extension - but does leave you with the larger filled side panel and associated visibility issues.
Thanks for posting.
