Hi, I have a 2009 RRS that was an option for bluetooth phone connectivity. I've done some research and there are modules like MoBridge and Dennison that connect into the existing stereo and give bluetooth connection equivalent to the factory option or so it seems. Should also be able to use the stereos controls to access the phone book, etc.

Has anyone done this, would like some feedback, is it easy to install and how well do they work. Am told it will also connect the iPhones audio through the stereo instead of using the aux connection.

Obviously my car doesn't have the phone connection and need something very soon, not enjoying using the headphones.

Thanks Andrew

Check the UK site RRSPORT.CO.UK • Index (http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/) or DISCO4.COM - Index (http://www.disco4.com).
Someone does a bluetooth module exchange.

some more info here, http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/123697-d3-phone-kit.html
I've had a parrot mki9200 for a couple of years and am happy with it for phone and music streaming from my iPhone.
I have a 9300 in the ute and it has better functionality with the bigger screen

Thanks for the responses. I had a Parrot kit in my D3 which worked well, but the audio connection was poor, as it utilised it own small amp, not the stereos.

The MoBridge modules appear to fully integrate with the stereo and allow audio from the iPhone to air via the car's stereo system and amp.

Keen to hear from someone who has done this install.

I have fitted a Parrot Asteroid Mini in my D3.

Sound quality is excellent.

I use one of these, Kinivo (http://www.kinivo.com/Kinivo-BTC450-Bluetooth-Hands-Free-Input/dp/B009NLTW60?class=quickView&field_availability=-1&field_browse=2688215011&id=Kinivo+BTC450+Bluetooth+Hands-Free+Input&ie=UTF8&refinementHistory=brandtextbin%2Csubjectbin%2Ccolo r_map%2Cprice%2Csize_name&searchNodeID=2688215011&searchPage=1&searchRank=salesrank&searchSize=12http://). Very happy with it. Great sound.

I pair the phone to the D4 built in unit the get the phone book up on the centre display and at the same time pair the phone to the Kinivo unit to handle the music streaming which is routed to the centre stereo unit via the aux input.

The Kinivo unit sits invisibly out of the way in the centre console and automatically connects and disconnects when the phone is bought near it or removed.
