Hello All,

Computers and computers ago, way back in the foggy past; hmmm 286 - 386 days, I used to play Lemmings on my IBM Clone tower computer. Here is a link to YouTube that shows a similar version of Lemmings that I used to play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkKK7cX0wZ4

Are these old games such as Lemmings, Commander Keen and Duke Nukem still available to be played on modern IBM clones?

If so where would I get disk copies to avoid the pitfalls of downloading them online? With a disk at least they can be scanned for nasties before having too much contact with the system. Yep call me old fashioned - I like Series 3 Land Rovers; I can live with it :p

Kind Regards
Lionel

Yeah ! Lemmings was cool. :D

Bugger all chance of getting it on disk mate.
Duke Nukem stopped running post Win 95 i think.

The best thing is to look online for these games which you basically paly online - so on teh internet. They are often called emulators. When you find them, let us know.

Do a search for 'DOS BOX' it'll allow you to run a heap of old games under Win7 at least.
My wife has a few running under win7 32 bit from the early 90s

Here it is

I played this on a Apple 10.6.8 but should also be good for Maverick

1. Extract the files and save to the desktop (only two).
2. Double click on the grams file and select agree.
3. Select the file WINLEMM (saved to the desktop in step 1)

Should be able kill many of your spare hours now.
