Ive got a rooted and TWRP modded HTC one which was doing everything perfectly.

Till it was allowed to update the OS for a function I liked the sound of...

I wasnt expecting to find it would kill my bluetooth keyboard ability or some of my SU ability.

The problem is hauntingly similar to the one where by renaming Vendor_0a5c_product_8052.kl lets you have the correct key map load because the phone no longer thinks the keyboard is a ps3 controller. My problem is for some reason while I can change the file name through ADB shell and through a terminal emulator or root explorer, when I reboot any changes I made to the /system/usr/keylayout directory get undone and Im looking at the normal file names.

anyone in brissy I can bring this thing to or can come over and do better magic on it than I can...

It's rooted and modded yet it updated the OS? Are you running a custom ROM or running the original ROM? On my HTC One which I run GooglePE it updated and I had to root it again to gain some lost functionality that relies on root. It may be worth trying to root the device again first to see if it's your problem but usually opening a SU app will give you a warning that you don't have root.

Only thing I can suggest is you look at /system/etc/init.d/ The scripts in here will be run when the phone boots but seems strange that this is a problem if you are running a custom ROM.

How do you find your HTC One? I've had mine for a while now and it's brilliant, I think it better suits the wife though now the new HTC One has been released.

the one's been brilliant does everything I needed it to but I wasnt thrilled with the battery life.

thats why I let it do the upgrade which gave me the better battery saver software but crippled the bluetooth keyboard thing which I use when Im using the phone via OTC on a TV to write emails and stuff.

Newest version of Android is a lot better, not great but works for me.

mine does better than that..

I can get to 48 hours and still have 50% left. where as before charging (usually on the weekends when Im at home and its just sitting not being used) the new sleep function really stretches the battery once its learnt your pattern,

I suspect Ive had the problem for a few months but because I havent needed the bluetooth keyboard I havent noticed it..
