Well I have finally taken delivery of my new 110, after 5 months wait.

I've posted a short blurb and couple of pics in the Members Rides section.

I absolutely LOVE this truck, and my wife also thinks it is awesome, which is a huge bonus :D

See you out there!

Cheers,
Nige

Congratulations! You probably should have bought your wife one also because if she loves it already it's only a matter of time until she steals it off you.. :p

Love the colour combo, that's what I wanted but my wife threaten me she will never come with me in the car :) she said "this is an army truck as it is let alone with green paint....."
I am impressed with the wheel/tyre combo too, am now seriously looking to have wider Tyres too.
Question to you, I have a Mantec snorkel, does Syklone make precleaners for that?

Ha ha. Good stuff. If it was the day I originally collected the vehicle, I apologise if I was a tad vague, as I hadn't had much sleep :)

...or was it when the rear wheel bracket was removed?

...oh, and also my "day off" really was a day off, as I work shifts and have a different working week to most ;)

I followed advice from Aulro member Nugget, who is a wonderfully talented fella and very generous with his time and advice... I contacted LSM technologies directly (in Brisbane) regarding the model that would suit the air flow requirements of the 2.2L engine. They had already dealt with Nugget before, so it was an easy recommendation for them.

The specific issue of the Mantec is not one I can answer. Yes, the pre-cleaner model I have will suit any 2.2L Puma, but the issue you need to answer is the actual fitment of said filter to the snorkel body.

Nugget has developed an adaptor to allow fitment of the pre-cleaner to a Safari snorkel (as that's what he did for his 110 HCPU build a while back). This adaptor also raises the pre-cleaner a little higher up, so it does not contact the vehicle.

I'm not familiar with the mantec, so I don't know how it would fit with the pre-cleaner, sorry. I guess it depends on the shape and diameter of the snorkel body pipe where it connects with the snorkel head at the top, and if indeed these are separate pieces.

Cheers,
Nige

How did you go with the Mantec snorkel and Syklone pre-cleaner.
If yours is like mine very odd rectangular shape inside which will be a challenge to fit a round adapter to?

That description is reminding me of the Apollo 13 scene where the NASA guys have to get a square air scrubber to fit into a round recess to save the crew.

'OK we have to make this... fit into this... using just these...'

BUT - big belated congratulations to the OP on the wagon's arrival. I somehow missed this thread earlier. I love mine too.

Hi Rolly,

I went with a safari snorkel and Skylone pre-cleaner. It all fits very nicely using the adaptor produced by forum legend Nugget :D

HA HA. Yes I remember that scene from Apollo 13. I had no such issues, as mentioned above, due to the excellent craftsmanship of Nugget.

I have a thread in the Members Rides forum, if you're interested, showing the progression of my 110. I've had it two years now :D
