Speed dial in D4

Is there a way to program a speed dial for your contacts in the D4 without the touch screen. The phone book and phone lists are really difficult to use.

Also, the voice activation button on my steering wheel doesn't do anything. Is it disabled somehow or need to be enabled. i read the manual and it isn't helping.

If you don't have the touch screen you don't have the voice activation feature.

Or the voice button could just be audio on or off.

On my iPhone I just use Siri for calls.

Don't need to use the touch screen that way as it is quite slow.

Good idea. The android has a driving mode. i can try that. I've only played with it before to try it. now it might become a useable feature.

ah Thanks. Its funny that my steering wheel has the voice activation button even though it can't be used. The manual seemed to tie that into the touch screen but i thought i was being dim.

The voice dial feature is separate from the numbers in your phone, you have to find the menu in the entertainment system (can't remember where it is but also remember seeing a youtube video somewhere) and record the voice names and enter the number manually. Once set up you then press the voice button and say "Phone dial name" and the lovely lady will ask 'name please". there are a whole stack of commands that are pretty hard to remember.....I just use the uploaded phone book now:-)
