The top one is right colour, newer/better motor, can get for $8k maybe little less, but has 275000km?
The lower one is a 4.0 with beautiful interior and very low k's...but older motor...can buy for $7500.
Very interested in where people land on their choice...which may include neither!?

I'd be inclined to go for the later car although that '98 ('99 are Thor) does look to be some sort of special edition with the interior trimmings.
Do you have 4.0 Vogues over there? All Vogues here were 4.6's.

Not put off by the higher K's? The 4.0 is a 'Destiny' edition on the back of it...but can't find any details on that...

There were '99 gems in the changeover period Scott! They might have been leftovers sold in 1999 but GEMS was only up to 1998 model year.

I think Vogues here are 4.6 only....the 4.0 is a special edition...I just want to dive onto those leather seats!

The shipping would cost more than the RR!

Main reason for RR is to rest my D90 so not parked 3-4 days at the airport and to tow the boat. Just to bring you fully up to speed with my indecision this Disco is in the mix at $7500...but heart says RR.

If you want a black one then get the black one.
I don't bother looking at cars that aren't the colour or trim I like unless they are very cheap. You don't want to drive around for the next 5 years looking at the odd black p38 go buy.
Then again, the green one has the brown interior, not my personal fav, but the black one has a lighter colour cream or something interior, which I would make a mess off and I only looked at cars with the "lightstone" interior when I was shopping for my P38 years ago.
obvious mechanical faults aside, pick what you like.
A well maintained P38 with 300k on the clock could be a much better buy than a good looking P38 with 120k on the clock, as it might be due for trans work, air suspension rebuild, or engine issues coming up, that's all been well sorted once or twice over on the higher mileage car.
