Hey all,

I have recently ordered a bunch of bits and pieces for the car, and I may have stuffed up the order a little.

It seems I have ordered a set of Shock Absorbers for 109" front rather than an 88" rear

Anyway - 109" items are rather fetching NOS Landrover original parts (made in 1997!). They seem mighty close to the size and shape of the current fitted on the rear of my 88".....

....so i thought to wondering...... could used them there? Part number is RTC4231.

I think that's the shock for the One Ton 109. If it's a front shock (eye to eye) from a 109 it may well fit on the rear of an 88. It will just be heavier, I guess. But before doing anything with them, I'd read-up on them to make sure the travel is correct.

I ordered some HD oil shocks for the rear of my 88, and when they arrived they were RTC4235 (I think...) which I believe is the HD front shock on the 109. At least that is what I was told. Either way, when I went to fit them the travel was not sufficient.

Cheers,

John
