How do I know if the kilometer reading is correct. ..it shows 29561 kms on the speedo? As you all know the landy is a full restore and I am just starting.
Thanks

Without supporting documentation, it's hard to verify km after all these years.
However, if you're doing a full restore, you'll soon know if it's done 29561km or 529561km.

At 29000km, I would expect the mechanicals to have very little wear, especially the gearbox & diffs. If you find evidence of past repairs (sealant instead of gaskets for example) then I would doubt 29000km is the original km.
The suspension bushes might well be age affected (cracking/perishing) but wouldn't be flogged out at 29000km.
If you start finding stress cracking in the body or mounts, wear in door hinges.... then it's done some high km.

A good indicator is the wear on the clutch pedal. At the 29k, there would be no appreciable wear on the lumps on the pedal. At 129k, there would be visible wear, at 229k some of the lumps would be worn smooth. Of course if it is one of the rare ones with rubber pedal covers, this does not work!
