Hi all,
I've had a Alpine INE-W947E, double DIN stereo/nav installed in my LR3, however now i've lost the ability to access the settings menu on the dash. Is there a way access the menu? if not will i ever need to be able to access it eg. to reset service alerts?

Hi Chris
I have an aftermarket unit in my D3 SE and I don't believe that you can access the settings menu without the original radio. Nor do I have the dashboard clock. In my SE this is not a major issue since the only settings I could change were the time and units of measurment. I guess you must have an HSE if you can reset service intervals ets, although I was under the impression you need a Faultmate or similar for that function.
Anyway sorry I couldn't give you more help
Cheers
Mike

The simple answer is no - well not unless you also splice the original radio back into the canbus and store it somewhere in the car.

I am not sure about the LR3 as we don't have any in Australian but in the D3 I thought you could not reset service intervals without a separate piece kit like a Faultmate etc.

If you were able to reset service intervals via the command centre menu please share it with us.

For my car I have a resetting device that works via the OBD2 port under the dash rather than via the command centre.

Cheers
