Further upgrades to Puma and BFG AT KOs?

I've ordered the front air locker to complement the rear chocker fitted that is giving me a good run. I can run the front chocker off the already fitted air compressor, or also add the 2nd compressor and have on board air supply (I have a nice big portable one I wouldn't need anymore I guess).

I am looking at the centre console from Terrafirma that goes on the headlining. Anyone fitted one? Was it an easy fit? We have a 350m 'riverbed' driveway so wondering if it will be durable - looks a good spot to mount a PRS radio.

Also would like to get the boost alloys painted black - anyone done this or is it just easier to get the paint shop to do them at $150+gst each? I thought I would get new tyres as well - anyone running BFG ATs? After fitting TF treesliders I've decided to stick with 235's rather than looking at a taller tyre as I don't want to put extra pressure on the running gear or worry about prop shaft upgrades, cranking arms or whatever just at the moment.

I'd love to fit a dog guard (Def90) but it looks like the bulkhead has been lowered with one of those kits - anyone know of a brand that still works with the lowered bulkhead (I think I have half the bulkhead that is normally there).

Any thoughts and shared experiences appreciated.

Painting the wheels is really a cost benefit call. To get them to look nice and factory requires a lot of prep work, and quite good skills as a spray painter. I had one of my Sawtooth alloys resprayed by the insurance company as part of a accident repair, and even when done with a leading alloy wheel specialist it's not as nice a paint job as the factory finish.

But then again - if you don't really care about the finish - a can of wheel paint (they make special wheel spray cans), some masking tape - a bit of a pressure wash, and you can do a wheel in 10 mins, and from a distance it will look quite good. I sprayed some steel wheels that way on one of my series landrovers and they still look OK some 10 years later.

Thanks for that and I see Terrafirma sell alloy paint for this...apparently a rub with 240grit and a spray of paint and a clear spray finish if you do yourself. I confess I want the job to look good...

Or use plasti dip and then the wheel colour isn't permanent ;)

I've got the Outback Consoles roof console which is very similar (identical?) to the TF - it's holding up well.

Tyre sizes don't (materially) affect prop shafts or trailing arms?

At $150 a wheel, I'd get new wheels with a better offset instead.

Or I could grab these...paint them up as I get time and swap them with good AT tyres already on??? These Continental get good reviews.

Around $120 a wheel for steel rims. You don't need lift for 33s?

You reckon? Pumas rub 33s...?? Also cost wise 235s are not over the top...I priced 255/85s and had to sit down and have a cuppa as the shock passed.

I paid $320 a pop for my 255/85 KM2 mud terrains from memory.

I haven't adjusted my bump stops, just a normal 2 inch lift on 33s and no rubbing - unless you adjust bump stops a lifted truck's wheels end up in the same space as an unlifted truck's wheels sooner or later? But you will need more offset than Boosts.

Yeah tyres expensive in NZ...$385 for BFG 235s fitted etc. I don't want to fit larger tyres.
