Good point Ean, Flying High is a favourite but after watching "Sharknado" last night, the special effects and riveting story line coupled with some high quality acting really punches it up there with the best. It's the sort of movie that makes you think..."Better keep an eye on the weather and make sure the chainsaw is fuelled up"

I'm hearing ya Kev, first thing I did this morning was put fuel in the chainsaw after I seen some dark clouds around.

Have to try and find me a nitrous fuelled hummer and I will be able to relax a bit.:p:p our house does back onto the harbour, so we will be in the firing line.

Yep, I'm a bit nervous, I am about 150 meters back from the water and the breeze is picking up a little..... better check my stock of Primus gas bottles and smoke alarms now I think about it......... There is also the possibility that I am slightly affected by the 4 KG's of Flow Coat I have been spraying this weekend but that's a long shot :p

Now I know what you're all on about. The kids and I watched Sharknado this morning. Absolute riveting stuff. Top notch, incredible acting, fantastic believable story line. And to top it all off the most realistic special effects going.

Just goes to show that the Oscar's is rigged. I don't recall any mention of Sharknado during the awards.

Without emoticons it's hard to see if you're serious ?? ;) Gawd, I hope not. :wasntme:

Aahh...................... the impetuosity of youth, not to mention not really old enough to comment on 'Best movies ever'. :D

When you're an old fart it's a lot easier, Shane comes to mind as an exceptional movie of its time, so does A Clockwork Orange for it's breaking of the mould , as does The Last Tango in Paris for the same reason. Sound of Music, already mentioned and also a classic. Star Wars was brilliant started a whole new genre of movie. There's a Kiwi movie (can't remember its name) about mutant sheep 'taking over' which is an absolute classic and who can forget The Blues Brothers. What's Up Tiger Lilly (Google it) was also a brilliant 'one off'.

But for me, the greatest movie of all time. Paint Your Wagon, the last of the wide screen musical epics complete with an intermission, an all star cast and a good story line.

Deano :)

Hmm do remember a movie. Bad taste. It was filmed in NZ. Peter Jackson is the director and acted in the movie as well. You can get is on DVD. One of the joys of having children is them bringing home movies of this quality. :toilet: :)

Really???? I think your splitting hairs on which of those are best... kinda, almost, nearly but not quite as realistic in the special effects as "SHARKNADO!!!!"..... All three should be deserving of an Oscar

Read right up to the last post thinking ...how can it be no one mentioned Bad Boy Bubby.

Then disco man made mention. But I will pluck it from "weirdo" category. Wife said its disturbing. I say best. Bad Boy Bubby.

The image in your brain regarding devout Salvo's gals will never be quite the same again after watching it.
