Well what a great weekend at a wonderful location. The weather was very un-Easter with nothing but sunshine and all but the lightest breeze. The cool nights sure made the fire ever more important and it was great just to sit around and relax for a few days. A special thanks to all who participated in the cook off, it was nothing short of fantastic!

This was the fire on the first night. Some good fire collecting from the property and Tonic bringing some nice iron bark to burn.

There was some swimming available but it was cold, the kids still liked it.

The house on the hill or as the kids call it the zombie house

The fog would often roll in and out several times a night to good effect.

Sometimes it's worth hanging around the fire till late. The midnight bacon and cheese toasties were great. Thanks Scott!

I only made it for Sunday taking off early Monday morning for a prior engagement. Was great to get out and see everyone as they left :Rolling:

We did pack a fair bit into the 24hrs with a coffee with the owners on arrival, drive up the hill and walk to the cave, setup camp and lunch, hike down to natural arch, steak over the fire then of course all the usual fire antics that progressively get seedier until the clocks strikes 12 and the munchies with subsequent jaffles over the coals get made (even warmed some leftover gyoza in the jaffle iron) :D

Cheers for the company as usual all. Bring on queen mary in a couple weeks... Don't miss out!

Ahhh, Numinbah!
Another great camping trip.
Highlight for us was making the trip to Natural Arch or Bridge at night to see the glow worms in the cave. Loved it!

The great cook off was undoubtedly the highlight, oft to be repeated and never forgotten. The fine fair on offer was exquisite, pork, lamb, chicken, beef stroganoff, roast veg and finished off with ice cream, jelly and danish.

Marshal turned 14 and had a great time sleeping in his new swag. He survived all the manhood ceremony talk and ended up having a blast.

Thanks for the great company, it was terrific to catch up with folks we haven't seen in ages, including Petra (Georges wife) whom we met for the first time.:D

Cheers

What a great weekend, Great company and fantastic food. The cook up Saturday night consisting of Roast lamb, roast pork, 2 curried goat dishes, roast chicken, more veges than you could poke a stick at and Ice cream with jelly for dessert was a blast. Marshall has past the first stage of his manhood initiation rites with the 2nd and final stage taking place at Flano's next weekend:twisted::twisted:. We took a drive up to the cave which was interesting. All in all a very relaxing weekend. Thanks All.
